Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Discussion

Best game ever.
I just got all the Chaos Emeralds, and 1 Super Emerald. I'm currently in Lava Reef, but it's hard to beat the boss there...

this is the only game i've been playing on my ds... and i'm trying to get 99 lives with my sonic & tails, tails, & knux file...

I got all the Super Emeralds with both Sonic / Tails & Knux. Now I need all the Super Emeralds with Tails, but I'm stuck in CNZ 2.

ya knux waz the hardest for me cuz i forgot how different his levels were...
but i like hyper sonic da best!

Knux was pretty hard, but CNZ with Hyper Sonic is harder.

i keep playin it on my DS at school and i finally got them at 99 lives! and when you go over that, it does a big 0 and a regular 0 counting it as 100, but when you pass the act 2 version... they go back to 99 i wish it went past 99.., cuz i went to 105 and then i went to carnival night, and it went down xD

well it would at least be nice to leave the lives count... but the old RAM they had in those cartridges just couldn't handle it...

xD Yep. Especially with debug. Go past 999 rings, and the first 9 turns into an E. Going farther than that freezes the game.

i've got to around the 1700s in rings and sat there as hyper sonic for about 30 mins... (of course i could only go to ten mins though, and i died -_-)

Don't you just hate the timer programming?

yea and i didn't even know that sonic 3 had it until i played the long version, and got stuck at the dust hill zone O_o

Dust Hill is Sonic 2 Long Version (Hack).

Hey, did you try using Debug Mode on the Angel Island cutscene?

and you should make it to where knux steals yur emeralds but you can still move and follow him so it'll glitch the game

I did that. He runs in midair, and the whole level is glitched up until Knux gets off screen.

its almost does that for all knux cutscenes xD.

One thing we haven't mentioned is that Ashura can appear in this game. Under the right conditions that is.

you mean do to a debug glitch at the end of the game?

I know how to get Ashura in Sonic 2, but this is Sonic 3 & K.

I think it's the same way you get all the other Sonics. Using debug mode.

Not exactly. To get Dark Super Sonic enter a Special Stage ring but quickly change into a ring on debug mode. After the Special Stage you will be a garbled up ring. Make a few S Monitors and you will become Dark Super Sonic.
